Leone: 100 Samoan Patches
"Sucking at something is the first step to becoming sorta good at something" -- Jake The Dog
Every day for 100 days I will embroider/cross stitch something that reminds me of Samoa. It may be pattern, colour, word, picture, logo, phrase. Small size. At the same time, I will incorporate a variety of newly learned stitches. I will have 100 of these pieces by project's end and sew them into a patch book or something.
I wanted a reason to practise my new hobby -- hand embroidery/needlework. By committing myself to a 100 day period I hope to achieve a huge personal goal -- starting a project and finishing it! I also want to produce beautiful interesting satisfying embroidery experiments, learn new stitches, and get better at this therapeutic craft.
