We were pretty good at crawling under electric fences but our innovative older brother Kerry had an experiment, which we were all going to be allowed to take part in. We adored Kerry and would always trust him, but after this we older ones were a little more sceptical. So 5 or maybe 6 of us went out to the electric fence and he lined us up and we all held each other around the waist, big ones in front down to the littlest at the back. THEN he put his hands on the electric fence and YES we all went flying, the ones at the front with a little more force and pain than those at the back. Kerry's experiment had worked! The electric current DID affect all of us although the degree diminished with the youngest hardly feeling it at all. We were so 'shocked' I dont think any of us either cried or complained! Did we tell on him? Never!
Marie: And yet another story!
It seems to be a trait of the elderly to tell stories and often repeat the same stories. As our family has a major Reunion in February 2015 I will tell a family story each day and NOT repeat it for 100 days. I will use christian names from our earlier generations as pseudonyms.
