100 Days Project

Marie: And yet another story!

It seems to be a trait of the elderly to tell stories and often repeat the same stories. As our family has a major Reunion in February 2015 I will tell a family story each day and NOT repeat it for 100 days. I will use christian names from our earlier generations as pseudonyms.

Oh dear we all new the slogan "The family that prays together stays together" but for some weird reason we didn't follow that very well when we went to church on Sunday.  The church had 3 aisles and as we all reached the door we spread out one in this aisle another in the next and so on.  Even if we went up the same aisle we still didn't sit with each other.  It was a very weird practice and I often thought this practice didn't bode well for our future!  One could put it another way and say we symbolically took over the church in a rather clever way.  In fact, I don't think any of us had any grave or sombre intention at all.  It was far more likely that we were always late, there was not a pew (or two) available so we simply squashed in where we saw a gap!  (And yes, we are still all good friends so together in that way!)

Day 51:

51) the family that prays together!
