Dad was under the house putting away the lawn mower and chanced upon a pile of baby naps. He asked Mum why on earth she'd put a pile of baby naps under the house. (These days we'd call it baby fog or some such name.) Mum thought about this for a while and then asked Ailsa if she knew anything about it. Young Ailsa burst into tears and said, "It's not fair, you've got ALL the nappies for YOUR baby and I've got NONE for mine!" (hers naturally being a doll!) And so Mum compromised by getting back the needed baby's nappies and cutting one up for Ailsa's doll.
Marie: And yet another story!
It seems to be a trait of the elderly to tell stories and often repeat the same stories. As our family has a major Reunion in February 2015 I will tell a family story each day and NOT repeat it for 100 days. I will use christian names from our earlier generations as pseudonyms.
